Terms of Service
These terms govern the Listen Orb macOS app and the website at listenorb.com. Listen Orb is the brand under which we provide the app and product support. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. Your purchase receipt identifies the seller of any paid license.
The app and your license
Listen Orb is a push-to-talk dictation app for Mac. Start with 3 days free. Every 500 words you successfully dictate adds 1 day, up to 7 days total. You can start the trial without a card. After the trial, a one-time license lets you keep using the app on up to 3 Macs. The current price and included features are shown on the pricing section before purchase. The license is for use of the app; it does not transfer ownership of the software or its intellectual property.
Please do not redistribute the app as your own product, share or sell license keys, or bypass its license checks. You are responsible for using the app and its output lawfully and reviewing text before you send or publish it.
AI provider accounts and charges
You supply your own OpenAI or xAI API key. Transcription and optional AI polish are charged by the provider you choose under your own account and its terms. The Listen Orb license does not include provider API credits or a ChatGPT or SuperGrok subscription. The app needs macOS permissions, including Microphone, Input Monitoring, and Accessibility, for its described features. See Privacy for how the app handles data and these permissions.
Purchases and refunds
The payment provider shown at checkout handles payment, taxes, and your receipt. Its buyer terms also apply to that purchase. For purchases sold by Paddle, Paddle is the merchant of record and its Buyer Terms apply. See our Refund Policy for the applicable request path and your rights.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep Listen Orb functional, but cannot promise that the app, website, macOS integrations, or third-party AI service will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided without additional warranties and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
